Extremely weathered Cedar Restoration- Neskowin, OR

We recently completed a restoration of a cedar house and fence in Neskowin, Oregon, that had become quite old, green, and weathered over time.

The project involved restoring the original beauty of the cedar using a combination of specialized cleaning and brightening techniques. We started by applying a cleaning solution of sodium percarbonate and sodium metasilicate to thoroughly clean and lift the grime from the wood.

After the cleaning process, we used an acid brightener to bring back the vibrant natural color of the cedar. The result is a beautifully restored cedar surface that looks refreshed and renewed. Chemical pretreatment reduces the amount of pressure washing needed, which makes for a gentle cleaning that avoids the fuzzy wood from only using pressure wash.
